Vogue Players

The Vogue Players are the Performing Arts Office's own theater group.  Tom Kortowski, a Recreation Leader with the Philadelphia Department of Recreation, started a theater program for the Department of Recreation in the early 1960's.  Tom worked at Vogt Playground in the Northeast section of Philadelphia, and the theater group came to be known as "The Vogt Players".  In 1964, Tom Kortowski was moved to Holmesburg Playground (renamed Ramp Playground in 1982).  At Holmesburg Playground, Tom continued the theater program and changed the name of the group to The Vogue Players.  The adult group presents a musical production each spring.  The Junior Vogue Players (ages 6 - 14) presents a musical production each December.

The December 2011 Junior Vogue Player production is Disney's 101 Dalmatians.
